Adolescent Medicine

Teens go through a unique phase of development – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. It is a time of great transition for not only teens, but parents as well. Our goal is to provide specialized care in a confidential and youth-friendly manner, as they transition into healthy, young adults. WMed Health Adolescent Medicine works in the setting of integrated behavioral health with access to psychologists. In addition, we also access services of our medical social workers and dietician. For reproductive care, our practice works in close collaboration with our gynecology clinical service. We provide a full range of care, including specific areas of significance for adolescents and young adults:

  • Psychological development
  • Puberty
  • Disordered eating and eating disorders
  • Reproductive health care including contraception and STI screening/treatment
  • Adolescent behavioral and mental health illnesses
  • Sex and gender minority youth (LGBTQ) care
  • Chronic health illnesses
