Simulation Center Operations

Our Simulation Center provides a safe environment for healthcare professionals to practice clinical procedures and experience realistic scenarios that challenge clinical decision-making skills. We endeavor to appropriately support some simulation-based educational needs of the extended community of healthcare practitioners in Southwest Michigan.

As a multidisciplinary training center, the WMed Simulation Center has much to offer those who want to use the latest simulation technology and modalities to educate their learners, including:

  • Consultative service to plan and write simulation scenarios and cases
  • Highly experienced simulation support staff
  • Standard learning spaces such as audio-visual equipped Classrooms
  • Digital video recording systems with cameras throughout simulated Exam and Hospital Rooms
  • Thorough planning and flexibility to accommodate learner needs

The best way to access Simulation Center services is to place your request via email to simulation.center@wmed.edu.

We will have the appropriate Simulation Center educator contact you to begin the consultation process for your event. Event scheduling is contingent upon factors such as prior events, budgetary needs, etc., but every effort is made to communicate with you quickly to ascertain how we can serve you.
