Pre Award Approval
All proposals, applications, letters of interest, and other requests for funding must be reviewed and approved by a WMed authorized official prior to submission. This institutional approval process occurs concurrently with the development of the final proposal.
Principal Investigators developing a proposal for a sponsored award must submit a completed Sponsored Award Approval Form (SPAF) to SPA no later than 2 weeks prior to the due date for a funding opportunity. This form captures key project and funding opportunity information needed to facilitate institutional approval.
SPA uses the Sponsored Program Preliminary Approval Form to track the status of sponsored award proposals, document institutional approval, coordinate WMed resources, and plan for submission of final proposals to potential sponsors.
