Research Day
The 36th Annual Kalamazoo Community Medical and Health Sciences Research Day was held in May 2018 at the Bernhard Center at Western Michigan University.

The 37th Annual Kalamazoo Community Medical and Health Sciences Research Day will be held Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus in downtown Kalamazoo.

The annual event recognizes what is a proud tradition of medical and health sciences research in the Kalamazoo community. Research Day also offers time to take a step back and celebrate, to develop and promote the richness and diversity of research in the local medical community.

This year, Research Day will be a two-day event with poster presentations on April 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and oral presentations on April 17 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Bander Professor of Medical Ethics and Professionalism, Professor of Psychology and Professor of Medicine, as well as director of the Center for Clinical Research Ethics at Washington University School of Medicine in the Division of General Medical Sciences, will be the keynote speaker at Research Day.

Dr. DuBois’ presentation is scheduled for April 17 from 11:00 a.m. to noon. At the Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. DuBois also leads the Professional and Social Issues Lab, which has a special focus on helping researchers to conduct high-quality research with integrity by fostering good decision-making, management, and leadership practices.
