Andrew Luciano, MD, joins medical school’s Department of Family and Community Medicine

The medical school is pleased to welcome Andrew Luciano, MD, as the newest faculty member in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Dr. Luciano, who began his duties as an assistant professor at WMed on Monday, September 24, 2018, comes to Kalamazoo following a four-year stint as a physician at Marshall Medical Associates in Marshall, Michigan, with admitting, obstetrical, pediatric, newborn and operative privileges at Oaklawn Hospital.

Dr. Luciano is an alumnus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in cell biology and neuroscience in 2003. He earned his MD degree in 2010 from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Luciano completed his Family Medicine residency training at CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, New Jersey in 2013 and followed that up with a one-year obstetrical fellowship at Altru Family Medicine in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Dr. Luciano is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Michigan and North Dakota, and is certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, advanced trauma life support, neonatal resuscitation and advanced life support in obstetrics.
