Art Hop and Community Open House April 6 at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus

Art Hop and Community Open House
The Art Hop and Community Open House is free and open to the public.

A variety of art will be on display on Friday, April 6, 2018, during an Art Hop and Community Open House event at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus.

The doors to the downtown campus at 300 Portage Street will be open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the event, which is free and open to the public.

Art Hop is presented monthly by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo at several locations in downtown Kalamazoo. Founded in 1966, the arts council’s mission is to support, promote and fund the arts in and around Kalamazoo County.

With the exception of events like Art Hop, the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus is not open to the general public. Access is limited to WMed students, residents, fellows, faculty, and staff, as well as those having scheduled business with the medical school.

For the event on April 6, guests will be able to view art on the first floor of the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus and take self-guided tours of the first floor. All other floors of the building will not be accessible to the public.

In addition to the Art Hop and Community Open House, the medical school will also host Second Look Day on April 6 and a reception for invited guests will be held that day from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the building’s second floor.
