What Is The Most Exciting Project On Board The ISS?

On Friday, January 19th one lucky college sophomore had the opportunity to ask NASA astronauts, on board the International Space Station (ISS) one question.

His question, “What is the most exciting project on board the ISS and what is the ultimate goal of that project?”

Astronaut Joe Acaba, who is currently living on the ISS responded, “Just recently I was working on an experiment that was looking at bone cells [osteoblasts] and adding a chemical to the bone cells that would help heal bone.”

In his own words, Joe seems to be a big fan of the LaunchPad Medical Study supported by IONTOX to understand the effects of microgravity on osteoblasts.

We are excited to be apart of such an amazing opportunity to work with Launch Pad Medical and CASIS and look forward to our continued work as we begin.
