Biosketch

Joseph Burkhardt, DO, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He graduated from Michigan State University. He completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University and his orthopedic residency was done at Michigan State University:Garden City Hospital Campus. He obtained a fellowship in adult reconstruction; sports and joint replacement at the University of South Florida. He was an assistant professor and clinical instructor at Michigan State University. He currently works at Bronson Orthopedic Specialists and is the board president at Brookside Surgery Center. He is an advisory board member for Smith and Nephew and ConforMIS and instructs their joint reconstruction surgical courses and has been a part of their implant design teams. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include robotic-assisted surgical technology.
