Biosketch
Ramesh Madhavan, MD, DM, FAAN is a Board certified Vascular Neurologist, who graduated from Madras Medical College. He did his residency training in India, completed Dermatology, Internal Medicine and Neurology residencies in India and later trained again in Neurology and Vascular Neurology in Wayne State University, USA. He joined Wayne State University in 2006, where he held various positions including being an Associate Professor, Associate Chief Medical Officer, Neurology Residency Program Director, Stroke Fellowship Director and Director of Telemedicine. He has been a pioneer in promoting Telehealth and was responsible for building the Michigan Stroke Network since 2009 and the Stroke program in the Trinity Health System, which he is planning to step down in mid 2024. At present, he is the Neurology Residency Program Director, Garden City Hospital, MI, USA, Director, Stroke Program, Lake Huron Hospital, MI, CEO of the International Medical Clinic, CEO of TiaTech USA, an Innovative Global Healthcare Technology Company that builds AI and other healthcare products. He is the Fellow of the American Association of Neurology and was the President Association of Indian Neurologists of America, few years earlier. His current interests is to promote cost effective global health care delivery and medical training models, telehealth and experiential learning process.
