Applicant and Interview Process

Candidates who are interested in our one-year fellowship should e-mail the following documents to simfellowship@wmed.edu:

  • Curriculum vitae or summarized educational portfolio
  • One letter from the applicant's residency program director
  • One additional letter of recommendation
  • Cover letter describing your professional interests, experience with teaching and simulation, and future career goals

We conduct interviews for our fellowship on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. After your application is received and reviewed, you may be contacted to set up an interview. A stipend is provided to help offset out-of-state travel expenses.

Clinical and Fellowship Time Commitment

If you are accepted for the fellowship, you will receive a faculty appointment in your department. Fifty percent of your time will consist of clinical practice at an attending level in a capacity determined by the department chair in your specialty. The remainder of your time will be spent on fellowship-related activities.
