Biosketch

Shishir Ojha, MD is a pulmonary and critical care physician. He is a graduate of Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner, India. Dr. Ojha came to the US in 2002 to pursue a master's in public health in epidemiology concentration from SUNY, Albany. After completing his MPH, Dr. Ojha did one year of basic science research at Center of excellence in Cancer Genomics. His preliminary internship experience was at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, RI. Subsequently, he moved to Baltimore to complete Internal Medicine residency in 2009. He did one year of Geriatric Fellowship from University of Maryland, two years of Pulmonary fellowship from Virginia Tech, Carilion Clinic and a year of Critical Care fellowship from Wake Forest University. Dr. Ojha's research interests are Cancer genomics, prevention of COPD related hospital admissions. His teaching methods include bedside teaching and whiteboard lectures. Dr. Ojha believes in interactive teaching to engage the residents and medical students. His procedure interests include navigations lung biopsies and pleural procedures.
