Biosketch
Dr. Shah is a board-certified dermatologist who has been a practicing physician since 2012. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Shah was a physician assistant for 2 years and worked at the Regional Burn Intensive Care Unit/Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins. Through this experience and her own battle with cystic acne as a teenager, Dr. Shah developed a strong interest in the field of dermatology and the significant impact that injured skin can have on one’s life. She continued her education and attended medical school at Midwestern University: Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. Upon graduating, she worked as an intern at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio. She completed her dermatology residency with Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Saint Joseph, MI, where she served as the chief resident. She is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and American College of Osteopathic Medicine (AOCD). Residing in St. Joseph, she is a dedicated mother of two boys, with her husband practicing family medicine. Their family shares a strong commitment to serving the Southwest Michigan community. Apart from her professional role as a dermatologist, she enjoys activities like volleyball, dancing, exploring new cuisines, and traveling.
