Biosketch

Rob Peters, PhD, completed his bachelor's degree at Central Michigan University as a Centralis Scholar. He received his doctoral training in Immunology at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and subsequently spent one year as a visiting assistant professor at Eastern Oregon University. He then served as an assistant, and later associate, professor of biology at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI where he taught a variety of classes, including principles of biology, microbiology, immunology and human biology. Dr. Peters also regularly mentored students in his research lab with a focus on cloning and characterizing innate immune receptors in zebrafish and the model anemone Aiptasia.
