Applicant and Interview Process

The ACGME requires Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship applicants to have completed an ACGME or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited program of at least three years in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or neurology/child neurology, anesthesiology, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, radiation oncology, radiology, or surgery. Fellowship applicants must be US citizens and hold a valid unrestricted driver's license from one of the 50 United States.

Applications through ERAS are accepted on a rolling basis July through September. Please include:

  • Three letters of recommendation, including your residency program director
  • Personal statement or letter of interest
  • Curriculum vitae
  • USMLE/COMLEX Scores
  • In-training Exam Scores
  • Medical school and residency transcripts

After your application is received and reviewed, you may be contacted to set up an interview during September and October. The fellowship year is from July 1 to June 30.
