Michael Fusillo, M. D. is a psychiatrist who received his undergraduate degree in psychology from S.U.N.Y Binghamton. He completed a residency in psychiatry in the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas. Subsequently he remained on staff and the Clinic and taught in the psychiatry residency there. In 1984 he accepted a position at Allegan General Hospital as the Medical Director of the Psychiatric Service and maintained a very active inpatient and an outpatient practice. In 2008 he joined the medical staff at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services working in the hospital and within the year he was made the Medical Director of Hospital and he also accepted the position as Service Chief at St. Marys (then part of the Trinity system). He has served on various committees during his hospital appointments including Ethics, Peer Review, Practitioner Excellence, Medical Executive. His focus and calling has been to provide the highest quality of care possible to a very vulnerable group of patients. In his work with residents he is very interested in how decisions are made regarding clinical care.
