Biosketch

Emily Standish, PhD, is a psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dr. Standish earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology, with a minor in neuropsychology, from Wayne State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System and her postdoctoral work at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Before coming to WMed, Dr. Standish worked for Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital as a member of their multidisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Program. She has also worked at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services and has several years of experience treating veterans within the VA system. Dr. Standish specializes in the treatment of trauma, and chronic medical conditions including pain.
