Biosketch

Sarrah Ali Asghar, MBBS, completed her undergraduate education in Pre-medical from Habib Girls School in 2015, where she gained a solid foundation in the basic sciences. Motivated by a desire to provide medical care to those in need, she pursued her graduate degree in MBBS from Dow Medical College, graduating in 2021. During her medical education, she developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of patient care and honed her clinical skills. During her time in DOW she participated in Various volunteer activities including working in the Patients' welfare association, Darul Sakoon, etc. Dr. Ali Asghar is a resident physician in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Western Michigan Homer Stryker, MD School of Medicine. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to further her medical training in a diverse and challenging environment. With a particular interest in serving underserved populations, she aims to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare of vulnerable communities. She is especially interested in women's health and strives to address healthcare disparities that disproportionately affect women. Through her dedication and compassionate approach, she aims to empower and improve the lives of women from all walks of life. She is also passionate about sharing her knowledge, teaching, and researching internal medicine topics, especially in hematology, oncology, and gastroenterology.
