Biosketch

Karter Bodnovich, DO, is a resident physician in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and completed his undergraduate studies as an Honors student at The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a minor in Biology. He graduated medical school from the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. A majority of his medical school clerkships were completed at a rural trauma center in SE New Mexico, which is where he found his passion for Emergency Medicine. His clinical interests include EMS, critical care, ultrasound, wilderness medicine, and bioethics. Outside of work, he enjoys many outdoors activities such as hiking, running, golfing, boating, and exploring national parks. He is a prior finisher of the Chicago Marathon, and can solve a Rubix cube in under 2 minutes.
