Medical school welcomes two new faculty members to Department of Family and Community Medicine

The medical school is pleased to welcome two faculty members to its Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Alicia Julovich, MD, recently joined the department as an assistant professor in the residency program in Battle Creek.

Dr. Julovich is a graduate of Indiana University Northwest, where she earned a bachelor of science in Biology. She went on to obtain her MD degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2015 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Fort Wayne Medicine Education Program in 2018.

Most recently Dr. Julovich was owner and medical director at Health Restoration Institute LLC in Wolcottville, Indiana. She also worked as a disability examiner for Independent Disability Examiners and Associates LLC in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Prior to opening Health Restoration Institute, Dr. Julovich worked for two years as a family physician with obstetric care at Parkview Physician Group in Fort Wayne.

Meanwhile, Dalal Kassir, MD, joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine as assistant professor and clerkship co-director.

Dr. Kassir completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2011. She went on to earn her MD degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2017 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at WMed in 2020. 

Prior to joining WMed’s faculty, Dr. Kassir worked as a family medicine physician at Ascension Borgess.
