Biosketch

Vaishali Patil, PhD, MMH, MA, MBS, received her doctoral degree in Public Health - Health Policy at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, after earning a master's degree in Medical Humanities from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey. She has been actively involved in the educational field in India and Saudi Arabia. After completing her undergraduate degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and a post-graduate diploma in Hospital Management in India she moved to Saudi Arabia and worked for many years as a high school science teacher both in an Indian and an American school in Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. While working as a teacher, she also completed a master's degree in education from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. She has worked in leadership roles establishing and popularizing science streams in multinational, conservative expatriate communities, especially for female students with far-reaching educational impact in India and Saudi Arabia. She has extensive experience both in teaching and administration of educational institutes.
