Biosketch

Nicholas Sward, MD, is a family physician with 23 years of experience. He graduated from Michigan State University for both undergraduate and graduate studies through the College of Human Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in 2000. After completing residency, he joined Bronson Family Medicine Downtown in Kalamazoo and has remained in this position throughout his career. In addition to outpatient medicine, Dr. Sward has been involved with a wide breadth of clinical activities including inpatient medicine, sports medicine, hospice care, administrative duties including Chair of the Family Medicine Section at Bronson Methodist Hospital and medical education including medical students, APP students and resident physicians. Dr. Sward has also held a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor through Michigan State University and continues to actively teach students in the office on a regular basis to help expose them to a wide variety of clinical scenarios.
