The MD Class of 2023 and students from the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree program at WMed will be honored in May during a commencement ceremony at WMU’s Miller Auditorium.
The ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023. This is a free event and tickets are not required.
"We are thrilled to join with supporters near and far to celebrate our outstanding graduates," said Alex Carlson, director of Student Life and Well-Being at WMed. "Commencement is our final opportunity to celebrate our students' achievements and cheem them on as they embark on their next big adventure."
The ceremony will feature remarks from WMed Dean Paula Termuhlen, MD, Maria Sheakley, PhD, associate dean of Student Affairs, and Class of 2023 President Amy Lorber.
The commencement address will be delivered by Kimberlydawn Wisdom, MD, MS, senior vice president of Community Health and Equity and Chief Wellness Officer at Henry Ford Health.
Following the commencement ceremony, attendees are invited to a reception in the lobby to cap off what will be a big day for the medical school, our students, their families, and the community.
