Biosketch

Amy Gyorkos, PhD, received her undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University in Education and continues to pursue research in the scholarship of teaching and learning. She completed her MS in Exercise Physiology and PhD in Neuroscience at Western Michigan University. She has held faculty positions over the past 20 years at Western Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, and Albion College, where she has taught courses in Exercise Science and Biological Sciences. She is highly involved professionally as a past-President of the Midwest Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine. She serves on several committees through the Human Anatomy & Physiology Society.
