Ashtyn Nelson, MD

Biosketch

Ashtyn Nelson, MD, is a resident physician in the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She received her BS in Biological Science at Chadron State College as a Rural Health Opportunities Program recipient, which sparked her interest in serving rural and underserved populations. She earned her MD at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is currently completing her residency in Med-Peds at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. Her clinical, service, and research interests include global health, medical education, and preventative and transitional care.
