Biosketch

Bryan Makowski, is a resident physician in the Psychiatry Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) in May of 2022. He graduated from a combined Masters - Bachelors of Science program in 2015 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Biophysics and Physics. Between his undergraduate education and medical school he worked as a patient care technician and research technician. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical and pre-medical education, substance use disorder treatment, and socioeconomically and geographically disadvantaged populations.
