Biosketch

Lanette Durbin, BS, is the supervisor of the latent print section of the Kalamazoo Forensic Laboratory. She received her undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has been employed by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office for 32 years. She has been assigned to the Kalamazoo Forensic Laboratory for the last 22 years and does footwear/tire examinations. She has investigated hundreds of major crime scenes and has been admitted as an expert witness in both state and federal courts. Her areas of expertise also include forensic botany, forensic anthropology, blood stain pattern interpretation, crime scene reconstruction, investigation of staged scenes, forensic entomology, and general crime scene investigation.
