Biosketch

Andrea Swintal, EdD, MS, is an Academic Advisor with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of Michigan State University. She earned her doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education. She also holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. Dr. Swintal’s research interests include graduate level academic advising, mentoring, educational motivation, student transition experiences, and student wellness.
