Biosketch

Ishan Purani, MD, is a family medicine resident physician with the Family Medicine Residency Program - Battle Creek at Western Michigan University Homer Striker M.D. School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Flint, Michigan with a major in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology along with a Minor in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree at St. George University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada. Dr. Purani has a publication within the field of Breast Cancer from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Hematology-Oncology. He has also worked as a Research Fellow at Weill Cornell School of Medicine, Department of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Purani has a strong interest in medical education and working with underserved patient populations within the specialty of family medicine.
