Biosketch

William Ranger, MD, is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned his B.S. degree from the honors program in Cellular, Molecular Biology. He completed his medical school also at the University of Michigan in 1990. He then completed his internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He then completed his General Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He also completed a cardiovascular surgical research fellowship at Harvard and TUFT’s New England Medical Center in 1995-1996. He then completed his clinical vascular surgery fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana and is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. He then practiced clinical vascular surgery at Munson Medical Center and was an associate clinical professor through MSU college of medicine. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education, assisting students in choice of clinical practice, and the treatment of aneurysmal and carotid disease.
