Biosketch

Ruth Tatara, CNM, is a nurse-midwife with Bronson Women's Services in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Michigan State University. She completed a post-graduate holistic health certification program through Western Michigan University and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University on her path to becoming a full-scope certified nurse midwife. Ms. Tatara currently works with women and their families as a certified nurse midwife in the Kalamazoo area. She is also a preceptor for both Frontier Nursing University and University of Michigan student nurse midwives and is active on Bronson Women's Services guidelines committee. Ms. Tatara is also a member of Bronson's Clinical Equity committee. Ms. Tatara has a passion for listening to women, improving health outcomes in our community, working to address health inequities, and enjoys working with medical students, nursing students, student nurse midwives, and residents.
