Biosketch

Tammy Graves, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician who has worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital in pediatric hospital medicine and pediatric critical care since 1994. She is a graduate of Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, in 1980 with a BS degree in medical technology. She earned her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, in 1984. She completed a residency in pediatrics with Southwest Michigan Area Health Education Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1988. Following her residency she was able to enhance her skills in pediatrics in a rural setting in Dowagiac, Michigan, completing her National Health Service Corps obligation. Afterwards, she worked in general pediatrics and hospital pediatrics in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area Butterworth, Blogett, and St. Mary's Hospitals. She left that practice in 1994 to work at Bronson Methodist Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist and pediatric critical care physician. Eventually, she concentrated her practice to pediatric critical care medicine. Her clinical interest is promoting quality healthcare in the pediatric population especially in acute illness. She is also interested in promoting improvement in training and professional development for residents and medical students.
