Biosketch

Joshua Veenstra, MD, is an orthopaedic sports medicine physician with Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a graduate of Calvin University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After residency, Dr. Veenstra completed an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship with TRIA/University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Veenstra has a passion for global health and mission work. He travels annually to Gracias, Honduras, to perform surgeries. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include sports medicine, and the shoulder, hip, and knee joints.
