Biosketch

Dr. Melissa Olken is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is employed by Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BSEd in Exercise Sciences-High Distinction in May 1978. She also has a MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois in May 1980. She earned her MD also from the University of Illinois in May 1988. She went on to earn her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois in May 1988. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical Center in May 1989. She completed another Residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Michigan in May 1991.
