Biosketch

Julie DiGiovanni is a board-certified physician assistant with West Michigan Cancer Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. After her undergraduate degree she went on to A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, where she obtained her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. In her role at West Michigan Cancer Center, she specializes in Gynecologic Oncology and Surgical Oncology working under Anna Hoekstra, MD, Ben Mize, MD, Casey Hay, MD, and Gitonga Munene, MD.

In the clinic, Ms. DiGiovanni evaluates surgical follow ups; conducts sick patient, pre-chemotherapy, and routine surveillance visits; and performs interoffice procedures. She also sees patients at both Bronson Methodist Hospital and Borgess Medical Center, seeing consults, visiting post-op and sick patients, completing discharges, and serving as first assist in the operating room. She recently started a survivorship clinic for GYN-ONC patients where she focuses on healthy living after a cancer diagnosis.
