Biosketch

Dr. Timothy VanderKooy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He is employed with the Southwestern Michigan Emergency Services, PC. He is a graduate of Calvin College with a BS in Biology in May 2006. He earned his MD at Wayne State University School of Medicine in June 2010. He completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital completing a clinical track in Pediatric Emergency Medicine in June 2014. He then completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Children's Hospital Colorado in June 2016. During his fellowship, he was an instructor at University of Colorado Hospital, Department of Emergency Medicine. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include residency education, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, quality improvement, and administration.
