Biosketch

Jared Brooks, MD, is a board-certified forensic pathologist. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle. He completed his residency in anatomic pathology at the University of California, Irvine, and his fellowship in forensic pathology at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo. Since 2022, Dr. Brooks has served as Deputy Medical Examiner for the Office of the Medical Examiner in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He also is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology of Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education, railroad-related fatalities, and quality improvement.
