Biosketch
Keith Smart, DO, is an Internal Medicine Hospitalist physician at Bronson Health Care Group. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. He enhanced his laboratory skills and medical research experience under the direction of Dr. Hirsch at NorthShore University Health System in Illinois. He is a graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Chicago. His passion for clinical research continued during residency training as he helped develop and improve the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team at Evanston Hospital. His clinical, teaching and research interests include medical education, bacteriology and improving the management of pulmonary embolism.
