Biosketch
Colleen Howing, MD, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University in 2015. She was the recipient of the Board of Trustees award from Michigan State University’s Board of Education upon graduation. In 2013, She traveled to the Dominican Republic on a medical mission trip to assist Solid Rock International with providing medical care to underserved populations. She attended Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for medical school. While in medical school, she participated in research focused on medical student wellness. In 2018, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Additionally, she received the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Student Excellence Award in 2020. In addition to Emergency Medicine, her interests include Hospice and Palliative Care. When she’s not spending time with her dogs or guinea pigs, you can find her kayaking, exploring Northern Michigan, or binge-watching reality TV.
