Alexandra Elizabeth Ortiz, MD

Biosketch

Alexandra Ortiz, MD, is a resident physician in the Internal Medicine Residency Program with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of the Central Michigan University College of Medicine, where she was an active member of hospital ethics and information technology committees. Prior to attending CMU, she received her degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Ferris State University. Her research interests include studying the impact of medication costs on health outcomes and the ethical implications of physician activities on social media. She also has a special interest in teaching communication between medical professionals and families of patients near the end of life.
